SOCIAL MEDIA COPYWRITER INTERN EXTRAORDINAIRE
Internship Description:
Have you dreamed of being an Account Manager since you saw your first commercial? Does having an ongoing and outstanding relationship with your OWN roster of clients sound exciting to you? If so, then we have the best place for you to start! We are looking for a talented Marketing/Communications student or recent graduate who can devote 10 to 12 hours per week in our office in exchange for a great marketing opportunity! College credit is optional, if your degree program allows it.

Role:
The Account Coordinator is an unpaid internship position will be responsible for supporting MCG’s account team in a variety of ways. MCG is a small and nimble company, so the Account Coordinator will be able to gain key insights and play a crucial role in the development of our business.
Responsibilities:
Applicants must have a keen eye for detail, be flexible, dependable and be an excellent communicator. The Account Coordinator must be able to respond well to changes, as well as stay focused and organized. Internship responsibilities, include:
- Analyzing projects for profitability
- Reviewing and editing Statements of Work
- Performing mini research assignments that help the account management team gain insight into certain industries/companies/trends in the marketplace
- Helping keep the account management team organized
- Meeting with select MCG clients to gain direct insight into project management and business development
- Participating in internal status team meetings
- Help with answering the phones, if needed

The Market Creation Group (MCG) is a unique marketing firm focused on brand strategy, marketing and design. Our team of content and design specialists work in an extremely collaborative and flexible environment. We're looking for an innovative graphic designer with the ability to forge amazing visuals using flame throwers and sharp objects as well as modern web and print technologies.
The ideal candidate should be able to tear a phone book in half while thinking creatively about the user experience. You must also be able to make recommendations both technically and creatively while trading chest bumps with our passionate and over-zealous copywriters. You MUST provide a badass portfolio in order to be considered for this position.
- Work closely with the Art Director and Lead Copywriter to develop graphic concepts
- Utilize established graphic libraries to create campaign materials of various implementations (web, interactive, identity, print, illustration, ui, demos and presentations)
- 4+ years working in a design production capacity and digital agency environment
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
- Strong experience with image compression, file correction, and optimization techniques
- Be cooperative, detailed oriented and possess a healthy dose of anal retentiveness
- Be highly organized and able to work efficiently on multiple projects to meet tight deadlines
- Familiarity designing for web platforms (iOS, Android)
- Work closely with the Senior Web Developer to ensure visual quality
- Support the interactive team by performing programming tasks (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Flash, CMS assistance, etc.)
- Communicate clearly and professionally during client conference calls and meetings
The Market Creation Group (MCG) is a specialized marketing firm focused on business-to-business brand strategy, marketing and design. Our team of content and design specialists has built an extremely collaborative environment and is looking to expand by adding a Web Developer. Along with development tasks, the new hire will gain invaluable experience working for a fast-paced marketing firm. This will be a paid, part-time position beginning as soon as possible in our Denver office located in the Santa Fe Art District.
Requirements include:
- Mac OS
- Strong HTML/CSS skills
- Photoshop (ability to build art into HTML and CSS)
- JavaScript/PHP
- CMS experience (especially WordPress)
- Experience building HTML emails
- Knowledge of SEO friendly web design
Bonus skills include:
- Strong experience with JavaScript (especially jQuery or similar frameworks) and/or PHP
- Templating for CMSs
- Building/editing modules/plugins for CMSs

You:
A smart, motivated individual taking your first steps toward film and videographer greatness. You must be able to think creatively, work collaboratively, be flexible and willing experiment. We’re looking for a rockstar pupil to capture great ideas on film and bring them to life seamlessly through video. We ask for a 3 to 6 month commitment. Students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. College credit is optional if your degree program allows it.
Responsibilities:
- Be available and willing to spend 10-12 hours per week in our office
- Experienced in YouTube, Vimeo, Slideshare, etc.
- Be social media savvy
- Have an understanding of integrated marketing campaigns/promotions and how video weaves into SEO efforts
- Bring new ideas and methods of execution to the table
- Have a good sense of humor— we like to get silly around and are not ashamed of it
- Use your own equipment/laptop, preferably a Mac, and we do have a video camera your are welcome to use

You:
We’re looking for a writer who is also a conceptual thinker and understands how to use creativity to generate great ideas. The ability to demonstrate original thinking as it relates to social media advertising and marketing will be a major deciding factor in which candidate we choose. You will also need to demonstrate knowledge of Facebook, Twitter and Google+. The internship will last for 3 months and the start date is flexible. College credit is available if permitted by your school’s program. You will be expected to spend 16 to 20 hours per week in our office.
What You’ll Get to Do:
This isn’t the kind of internship where you’re going to be sitting around and picking up coffee. You’ll get to build your portfolio and hone your skills while concepting campaign ideas and writing communications, including: online videos, social media promotions and email campaigns, and any other marketing platforms that are invented between now and when your internship is over.
